Itinerary Snapshot
Day 1 – November 4: Arrive at Marrakech Menara Airport (RAK), where private transportation will take you to your charming riad in the heart of the medina. Settle into your beautiful room and take some time to rest after your journey. In the evening, enjoy a warm welcome dinner with your group. Savor traditional Moroccan dishes and mint tea as you get to know your fellow travelers and ease into the rhythm of Marrakech.
Day 2 – November 5: After breakfast, set out on a guided walking tour through Marrakech’s lively medina. Wander through colorful souks filled with spices, handwoven textiles, and local crafts, then visit the beautiful Bahia Palace and the historic Koutoubia Mosque. In the afternoon, experience the magic of Jemaa el-Fnaa Square, where musicians, storytellers, and food stalls bring the city to life. Return to your riad for dinner and a relaxed evening.
Day 3 – November 6: This day, you’ll leave Marrakech and travel through the breathtaking Atlas Mountains, passing Berber villages and scenic mountain roads. Stop at a local cooperative to learn about pottery and rug making and meet the artisans who produce it. Continue through the dramatic Dades Valley, famous for its rose gardens and rugged cliffs. Arrive at your riad just as the sun sets over the gorge—an unforgettable view to end the day.
Day 4 – November 7: After breakfast, journey through the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs on your way to the Sahara Desert. Along the way, you’ll stop to explore ancient fortified villages and lush palm oases that feel frozen in time. In the afternoon, arrive in Merzouga, where camels will be waiting to carry you across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. Watch the sunset over the desert, then gather around the campfire for a traditional Berber dinner under a sky full of stars, with music and stories shared by local hosts.
Day 5 – November 8: Wake early to witness a spectacular sunrise painting the desert in shades of pink and gold. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at camp and take time to explore the dunes before beginning your journey to Ouarzazate. Along the way, stop at the magnificent Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site where movies and TV like Gladiator, Game of Thrones, and Babel have been filmed. Your guide will share stories of this ancient fortified village before you continue to your accommodations in Ouarzazate for the evening.
Day 6 – November 9: After breakfast, travel back to Marrakech, retracing your route through the High Atlas Mountains with plenty of chances to stop for photos and fresh air. Arrive in the afternoon and settle back into your riad. This evening, treat yourself to a relaxing hammam spa experience—a Moroccan ritual with steam, exfoliation, and argan oil massage that will leave you completely refreshed.
Day 7 – November 10: This morning, visit the peaceful Majorelle Gardens, once owned by Yves Saint Laurent, known for their striking blue buildings and lush tropical plants. Stop by the nearby Yves Saint Laurent Museum to learn more about the designer’s deep love for Morocco. In the afternoon, enjoy free time to shop the souks, relax, or explore on your own. Tonight, come together for a hands-on Moroccan cooking class, where you’ll prepare a traditional meal and share it with your group as your farewell dinner.
Day 8 – November 11: Enjoy a final breakfast at your riad before your private transfer back to Marrakech Menara Airport (RAK). As you head home, take with you memories of desert sunsets, mountain views, and the warmth of Moroccan hospitality that will stay with you long after the trip ends.
